Junior FanWar:

Tomorrows event is Junior FanWar, the updated version with no skills or abilities, no transferring characters, down and dirty old style combat based journeymen adventures. Magic will ALL be a special variation on Elder Sorcery.
The forecast is for showers 60% all day. I have the trailer so I am not going to cancel until I see it raining at 4:00pm. If it is just a sprinkle, I will be there, but if it is soggy and showering etc. it will be canceled. For all of you down in Sonoma and Napa, call me on my cell if you are coming up so I can warn you of cancellation and don't come up unless you are okay with doing Junior FanWar and it possibly being canceled (in which case, Magic would be fun!).

are we still on for fanwar tomorrow, because i've been checking the forecast, and it is supposed to be pretty good weather, and this is nearly the last event of the season, so i hope its still happenin, everybody had better show up

So are we going to have fanwar on Thursday because I have the day off and would really like to go.

According to the Calendar, winter season starts on Thursday, which is November 1st. So there's no more Fanwar until the playtest on the 17th.

The next playtest is Saturday, January 5th, 10am-5pm at Low Gap Park. It looks like, for the spring, FanWar events will be on the first Saturday of the month. I also have Junior League events in Palo Alto on the last Saturday of every month. See you soon.

Hello all FanWar players:

I was hoping to have a meeting at Write Stuff Pizza tomorrow since the event is rained out, but the roads are so bad that it looks like it is too dangerous for anyone to travel up here at all. Thus, I am officially canceling the event all together. I will still drop by the Pizza place to see if people show, and if you plan to come up anyway, please tell me so I know to expect you and use the great caution.

In case you didn't hear already, we won a great victory for FanWar at the Commission Meeting and we have use of Ragel Ranch Park again (as well as others!). We will be there at our next all day event, April 5th, usual time and spot.
This coming Tuesday is a Morning Build, afternoon games day. I will be at Low Gap at 10am building. Please come and help fix, build and complete items. This is a great way to pay off FanWar donations you couldn't make.

Rain:

Much needed rain is moving into Mendocino County tomorrow and looks like it will cancel FanWar. I am still planning on swinging by to see just how wet it is at game time, but more likely we will head somewhere dry for Magic and rules talk. I just wanted players who are traveling a long distance to know in advance that they might not get to do LARP tomorrow.
