Hello Everyone,
Sorry for this being so late, but as many of you know I also have my hands full with a medieval feast, but everything in due time! Anyway, this is an announcement about the Napa Role Playing Guild’s first live action role playing game and how it went. We had a large crowd, with four new players that had never been in a LARP before! We got to see some old faces too.
The game looked really cool and was lots of fun, even though I was busy running around everywhere. We had lots of fun paying homage and allying with the Unseelie Queen Barbula and Seelie King Oberon (special thanks to Barbula and Jim). We ended up starting up the real meat of the plot about the time it started getting dark. It was neat and spooky! Our monsters were in full form and only a couple of people “died.”
Most of the characters were made ahead of time and we all had quick reference cards for the characters so we didn’t have to keep pulling out the sheets, which was handy. We had grab bags, gifts, offerings and toys for special guests. There were spell kits, eggs with treasure, real treasures and even the monsters dropped treasures and prizes.
I couldn’t begin to possibly thank everyone for all they did, but I would like to mention a few people. Thanks to the King and Queen whose mere presence made the game possible. Special thanks to Tony, mastermind of the monsters and coordinator of traps. Big thankies to Nicky … who coordinated the egg contest and she ran back and forth so everyone got lots of treasure. Thanks to Jen and Jessica who put together all the grab bags and supplied a copious amount of snacks. Thank you to Jesse for supplying some awesome “weapons” … those were perfect for the game.
Anyway, thank you all who attended and email me off list to
