marcus silence your self. what me and nick wanted to do was make a montage of cool fighting scenes that were coreographed. because the way we fight in fanwar is kinda wierd looking, its just two people staring each other down then they occasionaly try to stab the other one in the back. and that doesn't look good on camera. so were were going to have wade and clay help us because they both (hopefully) don't have a problem with being smacked in the side of the head with a shield.

Race :Jerhani
HP:1 Mana: 2 RoR:30 size:3 life span: 75 years

Flying, snare, Natural tailor (2x proficient) and Night vision
non humanoid.

effectively cross between a nocturnal bird of prey ,such as an owl, and a hunting spider ( the kind that spin little webs they carry with them and hunt prey, rather than waiting it come to them). these winged creatures have black feathers all over their bodies, and large compound eyes which are very sensitive ( hence the night vision) . they have crests on their head much like an owl, and spinnerettes located under their tailfeathers. they have a spider's weaving instincts, deft fingers, and the ability to supply their own material, thus they make wonderful tailors, and the clothing and armor made from there silk is much prized for its strength and suppleness. they can also produce web in sticky globs to entangle their foes( snare) their aapearance often makes it difficult for them to be accepted, frequently being mistaken for beasts rather than sentient creatures.

Trevor had some questions about Roekron that I answered and I thought everyone would benefit from reading them.

(1) Are their horses in Roekron?
(2) Can you learn languages if you get "Know all monster languages forget all others"?

Questions about Roekron:

(1) There are horses but they are uncommon and not very tame. You can ride them but it takes a great deal of skill. Rather than training the horses, people must be trained to ride. You can talk to Bobo and Lanelle about the advantages of mounts (especially in the desert) but basically the only advantage is that you can cover more distance between encounters. There is no in game advantage to them yet, though I have considered giving them Speed and Endurance.

(2) I don't think that "Know all monster language, forget all others" was ever on the Backstory Chart. It has always been on the Flaw Chart. I have debated whether one should be able to learn languages again after having thus Curse. It would seem to me the answer is no. Otherwise it is way too cool. So, you loose the lvls in Read/Write you had before, gain all monster ones and then just spend some exp and are right back where you started except with a tone of monster languages. It is suppose to be a DISADVANTAGE that can be handy. I would rule that if you tried to learn PC languages you would then forget them.
As a final note, Monsters means anything in the Monster section (not Phraint, Gnome, Baroosh, Ork, etc).

We had a camel mount which my thief and Bobo's coben rode through the desert. He was partially undead at the time and I had hide, so he couldn't take damage and I couldn't be seen (becuase the camel moved for me) and we got were we wanted to go in very few moves.

PostPosted: Mon Jun 11, 2007 6:52 pm    Post subject: Making Items Questions Reply with quote

There have been some questions about making Master Crafted Items that I want to clarify.

Please note:

"2) Trades and Crafts:
Trade s and craft s have two use s, a
simple In Game effect , usable any time,
and Work that require 5 days time to
complete."

"1) Weapon
Smith: Cost :
3 Days Prep.
Your level in
this class
count s as your
level in
Blacksmith
when making
weapons."

Please note the difference in the number of days these skills take (thus weapons you can make faster once you have Weapon Smith). Now, note the following...

"9) Master Weapon Smith: Cost 5 Days
perp. May smith weapons that c an be
enchanted and made magic (Master Crafted)
and at ½ cost."

Note that it doesn't say "a weapon" it says "weapons."

Now read the section from the Making Good section in the back of the Players Handbook (page 53), below

Making Goods: All characters may elect to work for them selves instead of the
town to get themselves items or services. A character who does this must invest the
needed gold (usually equal to their lvl ) to get the raw materials they need. Over there 5
days they can then make a number of items whose total cost is equal to 2X their lvl in
that Trade /Craft. For example , a lvl 5 Blacksmith could spend 5 gold and 5 days to make
1 short sword (4 gold cost ) and 1 broadsword (6 gold cost ) = 10 gold total ). In this way,
characters who have money to invest in their Trade /Craft can make items for their party
or sell the items to make more money i f they can find a buyer In Game."

So, what this means is that If you want to make some Master Crafted Weapons, and you have Weapons Smith and Master Weapon Smith you could spend 8 days (3 for weapon smith and 5 for Master Crafted) to make a total number of master crafted weapons whose cost is 2X your lvl in Weaponsmith. Keep in mind you need to factor in the master crafted cost, not the usual cost. So if you were a lvl 20 Weaponsmith with Master Weapon Smith you could spend 8 days and make 10 master crafted knives, a master crafted short sword and master crafted broadsword if you also invested 20 gold.

In short, you are right Bobo, you can make a bunch. I fixed the enchantment problem by making Enchant Weapons take a long time, so Master Craft doesn't have too.

i read the chroniclers journal a little more thouroughley, not thourough, but actually read some of it for real, and all i learned was that Ravenwing was a LE Archngel and that Nell's pathfinder is how they found him, (think i got that right). Just for the sake of i want to know more, (out of game of course) what is the story behind him?
