Tejin Bloodrage:
A Cobben oraphan, Tejin has come to Temnor to escape prosecution by the both the Serpenton Guard and the Claw Clan Samurai who raise him. Found on the plains outside Estorock Keep after one of the larger battles in the last thirty years of strife between Serpenton and Estorock, he was taken to the holdings of the Claw Clan Samurai as a slave. When he came of age, his gifts as a warrior became apparent to his captors when they noticed his Shang Gou spirit item and began training him for entrance into the clan. Tejin had done little more than learn the basic skills of jourymen and basic fighting technique when they sent him on a raiding mission to attack a nearby village for spoils. In the heat of the battle Tejin slew several guards and then suddenly turned on his clans members, killing many of them and sending the rest running. When he calmed down, he discovered what he had done and fled his home with the Claw Clan and headed over the Red Wash into Temnor, seeking a new life, in a world he hoped would not care about his past and lack of honor.
Those in Mithil Grisodendin who have met Tejin and seen him fight get an uneasy feeling around him. He seems eager to kill, not just fight, and once battle begins seems to fight like a Berserker, without the abilities, attacking everything around him, friend or foe until battle stops. He expresses regret and perhaps guilt at being so dangerous, but he also seems to feel that he is a warrior and must do what his calling tells him, that being to kill. Definitly of an evil bent, Tejin is also driven by an underlying sense of rightness that makes him a very conflicted companion and never one to turn your back on.

Mir Gulelea:
A young Dolynx born into a commoner household, he was brought up to believe that one must follow the path set before them, when his innate elder sorcery came to the surface his words showed him that a path greater then just a commoner was set before him. He has just started on his journey into a far greater world then his upbring, and yet he seems to know that the path may end at any point, he will follow his path were it goes and will help others onto there own paths. For it is not often that one can “learn” there “path”, until they meet a path finder. |

Stormgard:
A hobbit of average hobbit hight and build, he has dark almost black hair to his shoulders, it is thin and whispy. He wears nothing and often has nothing, most of the time Stormgard walks around in the guise of a wolf when outside of town, for that is the only way for him to keep a hold on his spell stones. His face is sunken and flat, not expressing any kind of hope that anybody in particular will come out on top except for him. His eyes are a striking blue and his soul is tainted with black... _________________ "When you have it - creativity that is - what do you have?" - David Perkins |

Kalo Nailthrower

Born in the blackspire pass, his family realized there was something different about him. The Ogre Chief orderd Kalo and his mother Muurt to be killed. Muurt begged for the life of her baby to be spared. The Shaman approached her and drew his deathray. His incantation started and just as he cast the spell, Muurt let out a blood curdeling scream. Her husband Karg could take it no longer. He threw a javaline into the chest of the Shaman. The shaman fell but not before he slew Muurt. Karg then grabbed baby Kalo and flew into the sky. Some archers scrambled to make a shot but Karg was an experianced man.
Karg flew until he was to tired to go anymore. He landed out in Alon forest. He knew he couldnt stay too long due to the Neregoth elves were near by. Karg was scared, the forest was watching him and he didn't know what or who was listnening to the forest. The Sky began to darken and he knew that staying through the night would not be safe. He mde a dash to the Celeroth. He then saw a ship, well to him a boat but to the operators it was a ship. Three Hobbits were on board.
Karg followed the boat west staying in the wake keeping baby Kalo dry as possible. Karg was using the ships shadow and wake to stay hidden. This went on for some time. Krag was tireing and couldn't keep this up much longer. Luckily for him, kind of, the captain anchord the boat. Not to much longer after that a few merfolk climed aboard and started talking to the crew. Karg noticed that they kept looking back out over the water. Krag was getting nervous not sure what was happening. The merfolk left the boat and the hobbits went back to attending the ship. Krag decided to just stay hidden until he felt safe.
The sun was coming up and Krag had still not slept the baby Kalo was sleeping and had been very still and quiet the whole time. Krag decided to hold onto the boat instead of swiming around it. As he approached the ship some nets and ropes tangled him from below. The merfolk he saw before leaped out of the water and onto the boat and hauled him aboard. As Karg was pulled on deck he hid baby Kalo in his jacket. The hobbits drew their weapons and readied to kill him. Karg begged and pleaded for them to spare his life but no one understood him. The situation only got worse due to the fact that the hobbits just came down The Black River and had a little run in with some Ogres. Just as Karg thought it was over a woman came on deck from below. She said something to the others and they backed off. Karg didn't speak hobbit so he was unsure if she was saving him or saving him for her to kill.
She spoke in a dialect of ogre that was difficult to follow, must of been from the north. She said that her name was Merehil. Merehil told him that she was not going to harm him as long as he handed over the child. The hobbits untied him and he revealed baby Kalo. Merehil gasped. She was shocked at what she saw. A half-ogre. She had seen it in her dreams coming to her. Karg was not going to hand it over. He was frightend. Kalo opened his eyes to see the hobbit and reached out for her. She reaced out and something came over Karg and he let go. The hobbit was dwarfed by the huge baby. They looked into each others eyes and Merehill cryed. She claimed that this baby was doomed. She told him that she saw pain and loss and morganti in his future.
Karg beagan to cry, he worried for the child. The sun was up now and with that the day grew warm. A flock of birds flew overhead. Krag knew that they could take care of the baby. He asked Merehil if she could keep him safe and she agreed. Karg flew back east knowing he couldnt return but he couldnt leave his tribe with out a corsair. On his flight home he waas exhausted and began to pass out. He fell from the sky and was spotted by the hunting party sent out to take him and the baby. They swiftly executed Karg and just as swiftly got filled with arrows. The Naragoth elves cant help but take notice to a group of Ogres near their home.
Merehil Took the baby back to the island of Hostor and tried to keep him secret and safe. Kalo grew fast and by the age of 11 he was a skilled sailor and wanted to set out and find his notch in the world. Merehil was sad to se him go but she knew it was time. He wanted to find something to make his own since no one ever let Kalo keep anything. He headed south off mount Hoss. He found a home that looked abondand enough. He went inside and didnt see anyone inside but he did see a chest of drawers. He opend them and there was a flash of pain and then there as a dark veil of fear passed over his soul. Once Kalo was able to focus again he noticed that his hand was gone but what he found was worth it...........
[added by Christopher]
Something sparkled on the floor and Kalo tried to pick it up... and discovered he was reaching with a bleeding stub! Wrapping his clothes around the now useless stump he pressed back the pain (it was easy to do, something he enjoyed about his Ogre heritage) and reached out clumsily for the tiny object now resting in a pool of blood. It was a ring, large enough for his little finger with a curious blue stone. He put it in his pocket without a second thought and stared fearfully at the chest of drawers. What was this place that attacked people. He risked a quick look in the drawer he had opened and saw a long dagger sheath but no dagger and a collection of scribbled notes, brief words, exclamations. They were soaked with his blood now. He wanted to look more closely at those drawers but another part of him was terrified. His stub was throbbing and he heard voices, shouts, and accusations! He rushed out of the building blind with panic, suddenly realizing that he was about to be caught as a thief! He ran and ran and finally stopped behind some rocks to retie his bandages. Worry crept over him. If the hobbits discovered he had stolen the object he found, would they kill him! He was unlike them, he knew, and they might blame him since he looked so dangerous. For a long time, he kept the secret, and kept the ring, so that none would know his mistake. He looked for the little house more than once, but could never seem to find his way back to it, only finding a clump of trees or boulders every time. Finally he gave up and decided it was time to discover just what he had. It was no secret that he had lost his hand, but he had not said how. He could keep the secret, and find out just what he had found... or he could ask for help. He wasn't sure what was the best choice. Choices were not easy for Kalo.

I totally agree with the entire topic of this thread. When I create a character it starts in my head. I don't think; I want to bash stuff, or, I want to barrage people with spell. I think; I want my character to look like this. One of my favorite parts of Fanwar is actually dressing up. Having a simple costume can make a big difference in how you feel when you play.
By the way, D&D 4th edition is coming out with a character visualization program so you can design how your character looks to show other people.
My character is still in the Journeyman stage so there is not much I can say about him. He has a long green cloak and some decent clothes that have been battered from long use. He wields a long sword and an orkish short sword. Eyes the color in between gray, blue and green. and long dark brown hair.

Malfurion Stormrage here my avatar is my character except that instead of a hawk there is a mongoose. His name is Charles. My brother Illidan and I are a long ways away from our home, in fact (if chris will accept this backstory) we were accedentaly brought to this planet by means of magicks on our own planet. We are now constantly searching for a way home back to our peoples and ack to Tyrande. Both Illidan and I are a deep purple in skin and our eyes glow. Our ears are pointed just like the elves on this planet though our ears are much much longer. We are Called Kaldorei. or Night Elves in your tongue. _________________ Fanwar Battle Plans

Lady Lilith, the Golden Hatchling is a lost human in a city of dwarves. She is always dressed in the finest of clothes and keeps to herself. Around the city she has been seen wandering as if she has been here before and looking for something, but is unsure if it is there. Her attire suggests she is Desnorian, but she looks not of any known human province. She often acts as if you have nothing to offer her and she just doesn’t bother in responding or merely walks away. It has been noted she has a hand servant, a human that has just as little to say as she. _________________ "Don't see my deception as a character flaw, picture it as a philosophical choice."
